As previously announced, PHP 7.3 is now removed from our servers, since it has reached end-of-life. In addition we have installed PHP 8.1. Available versions are now:
- PHP 7.4 (standard version if nothing else is selected)
- PHP 8.0
- PHP 8.1
PHP 7.4 will reach end-of-life in November 2022, so scheduled removal of it will be around mid November 2022. We recommend all our customers to change PHP version for their domains to 8.0 or 8.1 well in advance. Note that Ioncube Loader currently is not available for PHP 8.1.
To change PHP version for your domain, follow this guide: https://nordhost.no/index.php?rp=/knowledgebase/225/Annet-Bytte-PHP-versjon.html&language=english
Be aware that the application you use on your website (Wordpress, Joomla, and similar) must support the version you select. If there are upgrades available for your application, they should be installed prior to change of PHP version. If something is not working after the change, you can change back to perform any necessary upgrades first. Remember to take a backup!
For those of you who build your own websites, there's information on the changes between versions available here:

- From 8.0 to 8.1: https://www.php.net/manual/en/migration81.php
