Reminder of PHP 7.4 removal
- Monday, 7th March, 2022
As announced in December, PHP 7.4 will be removed in November this year. PHP 8.0 and 8.1 is available on our servers, and we recommend all our customers to change to one of these as early as possible. During summer we'll set 8.0 or 8.1 as the default version, and near the end of November, PHP 7.4 will be removed entirely. Note that Ioncube Loader currently does not have support for PHP 8.1.
To change PHP version for your domain, follow this guide: https://nordhost.no/index.php?rp=/knowledgebase/225/Annet-Bytte-PHP-versjon.html&language=english
Be aware that the application you use on your website (Wordpress, Joomla, and similar) must support the version you select. If there are upgrades available for your application, they should be installed prior to change of PHP version. If something is not working after the change, you can change back to perform any necessary upgrades first. Remember to take a backup!
For those of you who build your own websites, there's information on the changes between versions available here:
